…was very quiet…..oh well. It’s cottage time for a lot of people.

I’m excited to be heading to North Carolina for a book event. Here are the details:
Once again, I’ll be in front of an audience of equestrians. The first time I spoke to a such a gathering was only a few weeks ago, when I was a keynote at the Equestrian Canada Annual Conference on April 6th, 2018. After my talk, I visited with people who are currently living, or had lived, in my old world, both individuals I know and those I don’t. I was grateful for the opportunity to (re)connect, although I must say that I began the presentation feeling some trepidation because I was addressing an audience whose members I had not interacted with for years. But I loved it: rekindling contacts, renewing relationships, the camaraderie of it all.
What do I think will happen in North Carolina? I’m sure that I’ll see some old and familiar faces with whom I’ll reminisce. There may be new faces as well. I wonder what they’ll expect from my talk? Certainly, some tales of my beloved previous life. I hope that they’ll also appreciate stories of my life Now.
Anyone’s life can, at any moment and without notice, change dramatically. How we cope with these positive or negative events in our lives – those we expect, as well as pleasant and unpleasant surprises – plays a large part in our happiness. I hope that others who are undergoing change, be it chosen or forced, will benefit from hearing me talk about my journey.
Most of all, I hope everyone enjoys the photos of my life with horses. I can’t wait to share them!
