Claire Smith is the author of many articles that have been published in a variety of academic and popular journals. Claire has engaged audiences as a keynote speaker at regional, as well as at national events, where she has talked about her experiences as a member of the Canadian Equestrian Team, a severe Traumatic Brain Injury survivor, and a PhD. She is a director of the Ontario Brain Injury Association and a member of the Leeds and Grenville Accessibility Committee. In 2017, she was nominated as an amazing person in Ottawa (http://www.amazingpeople.ca/2017-amazing-person/) for her volunteer efforts. She lives in Merrickville, Ontario.
